In 2006, the EERP-USP established the Bachelor’s Degree Program and the Bachelor’s degree with a Teaching Diploma in Nursing to encourage access to higher education through offering more vacancies in the night and afternoon. The curriculum complies with the Curricular Guidelines for the Education of Nurses and Teachers approved by the Ministry of Education, and the Teacher Training Program, valuing an inter-disciplinary approach and the inclusion of students in the different scenarios of health and education practice from the time of their first semesters.
The Bachelor’s Degree Program and the Teaching Diploma Degree in Nursing aim to graduate generalist nurses, qualified to work in health promotion in primary education and as teachers in vocational programs in nursing (the education of nursing technicians and auxiliaries) as well as in nursing care delivery in the various fields.
