It develops studies to evaluate changes in the determining and conditioning factors of the environment that interfere in human, animal and environmental health, in order to subsidize new knowledge for the implementation of preventive measures and control of environmental risk factors related to diseases or other disease health problems, based on health surveillance. This research line aims: 1) the observation and permanent analysis of the population's health situation; 2) the assessment of environmental determinants that affect public health; 3) the development of technologies for disease control and/or risk prevention; 4) the development/evaluation of teaching strategies on vector-borne diseases and waterborne diseases for secondary, technical and university education; 5) the development/evaluation of innovative health education strategies in the community.
